SUMMARY 

Quality Engineer (QE) works closely with Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Shop personnel.  Must accept challenge and responsibility in a positive manner, be highly organized, computer literate, and possess good oral and technical writing skills.  Will support FAA 14 CFR, EASA Part 145 Maintenance Annex Guidance (MAG), and other regulatory initiatives and audits.  Will develop procedures and provide training as necessary.  Must develop a working knowledge of Aircraft Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) repair data, repair data, and related technical specifications in support of Repair Station Aircraft Mechanical Accessory Class1 Component parts, processes, and inspection methods.

Dimensional inspector performs Repair Station processes including the following:

• Customer Repair Order (RO) / Purchase Order (PO) sufficiency review and Initial Repair Scope determination for existing repair capabilities.
• Incoming, In-process, and Final Inspections of complex weld & machine shop repairs on non-flight critical sub-level Commercial, Industrial, and Military aircraft component parts.
• Dimensional layouts in support of Prototype, Development, and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Regulatory compliance in support of Company and Department initiatives.
• Support internal Department and Companywide improvement activities created for Management, Engineering, Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), Shop, Employee Training, and other related activities.
• 2-3 years experience with repair station EASA Part 120, Part 145
