Our Client is a family owned busy machine shop, looking to add a skilled machinist to their team. Must have 3 to 5 years experience, dedicated, motivated and reliable.

Time: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM   Overtime available

Pay: $25-$30hr

Summary:

The Skilled Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating manual and computerized machine tools to produce precision metal parts and components. This role involves interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials, and executing machining operations to meet quality and production standards.

Description:

• Position requires at least 3 -5 years experience.
• Operate a variety of hand and computerized mills.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and other specifications to understand the job requirements.
• Set up and adjust machines and equipment, ensuring precision in operations.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances, measure and inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Adjust machine settings and tool offsets as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of machines to maintain functionality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure that all finished products meet the specified dimensions and quality standards.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations within the workshop.
• Must be able to use the following measuring equipment- calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc...
• Must have Master CAD and Fusion knowledge

Physical requirements:

• The job duties require employees to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50lbs.
