Job Summary                                                Shop Apprentice

We have a communications company in Ft Myers that is looking for a Shop Apprentice.  This company transforms ordinary vehicles into work vehicles by adding communication devices like radios, lights or other electronic equipment needed to perform their duties.

This company is looking for a Shop Apprentice for their 2-Way Division. 

Here are a few of the job duties but may be required to perform additional duties when needed:

• Assist on service calls, primarily as the helper (holding pipe, shuffling tools, etc.) as he/she learns the basics   of running and crimping cable, mounting antennas, etc. Must be familiar with types of tools
• Organizing the workspaces, including the work van
• Radio programming
• Pull stock to prep for sale charging batteries, labeling radios, etc.
• Organize stockroom
• Assist in the rental department, including pulling, programming and charging of rental stock
• Scanning and labeling of rental radios as needed.
• Radio engraving as needed
• Must be able to lift minimum 50pds. Some heavy lifting involved
• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Windows (including Excel, Word, etc.)
• Must have reliable transportation
