Salary: $19-21 DOE

The Quality Inspector will independently conduct inspections on parts, materials, customer returns, and vendor-supplied products. They will also perform in-process production inspections and ensure products meet quality standards before shipment. The role involves verifying supplier compliance with quality program requirements, issuing acceptance or rejection tags based on inspection results, and consulting with a supervisor or manager on more complex determinations. Rejected parts will be documented following established procedures, and the inspector will ensure that paperwork is routed correctly to maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and accounting records.

Shift: 5:30am-4pm M-Th; 5:30-2 F

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections on first articles, customer returns, in-process production, and incoming materials; complete final inspections of staged products prior to shipment.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) when necessary.
  • Input key inspection data for monitoring and trending purposes.
  • Perform accurate physical and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies, following inspection plans and specifications.
  • Carry out product identification and traceability activities.
  • Read and interpret specifications and drawings.
  • Collaborate with personnel to address inspection-related questions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, and comply with quality, safety, and work regulations.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and procedures, including guidelines outlined in the company handbook and safety programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • General computer knowledge, with the ability to enter data into Excel and maintain accurate records.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments, including inspecting, measuring, testing, sampling, and sorting of products.
  • Comfortable working with basic machinery and able to learn equipment testing procedures as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a technical field.
  • Two years of experience in a recognized quality program (ISO, ASTM, GMP).

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Regular physical activity required, such as standing, walking, sitting, and using hands and fingers.
  • Occasional physical activity such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Repetitive hand/wrist movements required.

Job Types: Full-time, Eval-to-hire

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
