A Bloomington manufacturer is seeking Floor Technicians to join their team! Be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of various flooring surfaces within the facility. This role involves performing routine and specialized cleaning tasks, utilizing various cleaning equipment and chemicals, and ensuring that all floor areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Routine Floor Cleaning: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning of floors across different areas, such as offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums. Ensure that equipment is clean and in good working condition.
• Chemical Handling: Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and solutions in accordance with safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions. Mix and dilute chemicals as required.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Report shortages or the need for replacement items to the Facilities Manager.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service to building occupants by responding to cleaning requests and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in varying conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures
• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods
