Position Summary:
As a Certified PIT Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of powered industrial trucks, including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair PIT equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire replacements.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and complete necessary repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, services, and repairs.
• Adhere to company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with the operations team to ensure timely repairs and minimize disruptions.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in PIT technology and repair techniques.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a PIT Mechanic or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of PIT systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• 2+ years of experience in PIT maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• OSHA safety certification (preferred but not required).
