Express Employment Professionals is searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual needs to be well versed in general maintenance. 

 

Essential Job Functions: (other duties may be assigned). 

1.    Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

2.    Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

3.    Removes defective parts by dismantling devices.

4.    Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

5.    Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.

6.    Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.

7.    Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

8.    Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

9.    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Skills:

1.    Proven experience as a maintenance technician.

2.    Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics systems.

3.    Basic multi-meter skills.

4.    Knowledge of performing preventative and predictive maintenance.

5.    PLC knowledge a plus.

6.    Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills a must.

7.    Knowledge and use of hand tools.

8.    Basic welding skills, (Mig welding/ Tig welding) a plus.

9.    Ability to wire a 480v motor.

10. Ability to fabricate.

11. High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment

12. Good communication skills are required

13. Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner

 

Requirements:

o   Experience: Two years plus experience preferred

o   Education: High School diploma or GED preferred

o   Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds regularly

o   Language: English

o   Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season

o   Great attendance is required
