Job Title: Warehouse Tech Senior

Job Description: The Warehouse Tech Senior is responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient operations of warehouse activities, focusing on the receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to company guidelines and safety procedures, and proactive problem-solving. The Warehouse Tech Senior interfaces with multiple divisions, ensuring smooth communication, high-quality standards, and maintaining cleanliness in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unload incoming goods from trucks and containers, sort shipments, and store them in the designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Pick and pack customer orders, ensuring accuracy in product selection and packaging.
  • Load trucks and containers for outbound shipments in compliance with established guidelines and procedures.
  • Identify and report any issues, inefficiencies, or blockages in workflow to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and housekeeping within the warehouse.
  • Conduct cycle counts, verify inventory, and ensure accuracy in all warehouse transactions.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Communication Skills: Able to interface with all levels of the division effectively. Must have the ability to understand basic and semi-technical verbal and written instructions.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Panduit part numbers and the ability to identify inventoried items accurately. Experience with inventory systems is required.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) to ensure accuracy in picking, packing, receiving, and shipping.
  • Motor Skills: Capable of operating warehouse machinery and tools safely and effectively, including forklifts and other vehicles, as per company policies and procedures.
  • Basic Computer Knowledge: Proficient in using Microsoft Office, keyboards, and mouse. Able to perform data entry tasks in network PCs and mainframe terminals.
  • Physical Activity: Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and stoop for up to 8 hours a day. Must be able to lift, stack, band, wrap, and prepare cartons, including above-head-level lifting.
  • Height Levels: Ability to work at varying height levels safely.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Seal cartons, enter data into computer systems, and ensure all shipments are prepared and packaged securely.
  • Engage in extensive physical activities, including repetitive motions, lifting, and palletizing products for shipment.
  • Communicate regularly via email, phone, and in person with divisional and external contacts, ensuring smooth operational flow.
