Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Operations to lead and manage their financial, legal, and operational functions. This is a critical leadership role that will oversee key aspects of the business, ensuring compliance, financial health, and smooth operational processes that align with our mission and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budget Management & Financial Projections:
  • Develop, manage, and oversee organizational budgets.
  • Create financial projections, reports, and strategies to ensure sustainable operations and growth.
  • Work closely with leadership to align financial plans with organizational goals.
  • Legal Compliance:
  • Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant local, state, and federal laws, including financial, labor, and tax regulations.
  • Liaise with legal advisors to mitigate risk and maintain regulatory standards.
  • Documentation Systems:
  • Monitor and improve the organization's documentation and reporting systems, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely updates.
  • Implement best practices for data security, record-keeping, and reporting processes.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Partner with executive leadership to set strategic priorities and ensure operational alignment with the organization's mission.
  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the board.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Proven managerial experience in a business operations role, preferably within a non-profit organization.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Strong knowledge of legal compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and leading teams.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and documentation management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
