Staff Accountant needed for local accounting firm. Full time, $40-$60/HR DOE• Staff Accountant needed for local accounting firm. • 3-year accounting experience • Associates degree in accounting – bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks• Basic knowledge of tax laws• Experience with sage 100 and Ultra Tax a plus• Effectively communicate with clients, management and peers• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills• Meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision• Commitment to excellence and to continued professional education• Maintain and update accounting records and files • Prepare paperwork for audits • Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations• Assist with generating financial statements, reconciling accounts, and creating journal entries • Tax preparation
