Title:   Heavy Equipment Mechanic Technician

Type: Temp to Perm

Location: Dallas, TX  75253

Pay:    Starting at $25- $28 DOE

Hours:   Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; every other Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanic for our client! As a Mechanic Technician you will perform preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs equipment as needed.  Please submit resumes to: jobs.mesquitetx@expresspros.com to be considered.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair issues on machines ranging from small gas engines up to large diesel engines.

• Perform assigned repairs and/or preventative maintenance duties in a timely manner.
• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts.
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
• Completes required paperwork documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Other duties as required.

Required Capabilities

• High school degree, diploma, or GED
• 2+ years prior experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical (6, 12, and 24-volt) systems.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
• Safety conscious individual
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Own tools preferred
• Background check and drug screen will be administered
