Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

 

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook that will be responsible for preparing and assembling ingredients for a variety of menu items, ensuring all food is prepped to the highest standards of quality and freshness. Key tasks include chopping vegetables, marinating meats, measuring ingredients, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for food, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while following food safety and sanitation protocols.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Chop, slice, dice, and measure ingredients according to recipes and specifications to ensure readiness for cooking and assembly.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety standards and proper sanitation practices to prevent contamination and ensure a safe kitchen environment.

• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies, checking for quality and freshness, and managing inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.

• Follow recipes and portion guidelines accurately to ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality of all prepared dishes.

• Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment, such as knives, mixers, and peelers, performing basic cleaning and troubleshooting as needed.

• Work closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to coordinate preparation tasks, communicate needs, and ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
• Prepare foundational components such as stocks, sauces, dressings, and garnishes, contributing to the overall efficiency and output of the kitchen.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in fundamental cooking techniques, such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, including proper handling, storage, and hygiene protocols.
• Skills in following recipes and preparation instructions accurately.
• Capability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy items.
