Express Employment is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a outdoor coating company in West Columbia. This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the preventive and repair maintenance of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems in the Coatings Division. We're looking for a motivated individual with a passion for mechanical work and a strong desire to grow both personally and professionally.

This is a M-F role hours from 5am until 5pm with some overtime. Starting pay ranges from 18.00+ Hourly.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, test, repair, and reassemble plant equipment such as cranes, forklifts, trucks, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and more.
Perform basic welding, cutting, and metal fabrication tasks.
Utilize and maintain various tools and equipment.
Work from ladders and aerial platforms, sometimes at heights above 36 feet.
Operate testing equipment like micrometers and dial calipers.
Adhere to safety protocols, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:

3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
Basic understanding of metal fabrication and blueprint reading.
Mechanical aptitude and a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work in various conditions (wet, hot, dusty, etc.).
Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:

Pursuing or holding an Associates or Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
Experience in welding, fabrication, and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
Work Environment: Youll be working in various conditions, including exposure to dirt, grease, noise, extreme temperatures, and confined spaces. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for most of the workday, and working at heights.
