Salary: $25-$30/hr + 10hrs OT

We are seeking Machine Maintenance Mechanics for a manufacturing company in Acton. This position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing manufacturing facility equipment.

 

Requirements:

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Starts devices to test their performance.
• Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Installation, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, light plumbing and welding.
• Basic understanding of blue prints and equipment identification.
• Works effectively in a team-oriented environment where trust, communication and teamwork are encouraged.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 3 – 5 years related maintenance or mechanical experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with a Saturday rotation (every 4-5 weeks)

 

Pay: $26-$30/hr
