Maintenance Technician

Location: Springfield, OH

Compensation: $24-26 an hour

Industry: Industrial Manufacturing

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or Electrical certification or licensing is a plus
  • Previous experience in the Manufacturing Industry
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician is required
  • Previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electronic, and electrical systems. Electrical certification or licensing is preferred
  • Strong technical capacity, with a basic understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems
  • Extensive experience in tracing electrical circuits and reading/interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including altering work hours and responding to equipment breakdowns on a 24-hour basis

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery and equipment, including production machines, overhead cranes, paint booths, and hydraulic systems, following technical guidelines and specifications
  • Replace defective parts, make adjustments, and fabricate repair components as needed using appropriate tools
  • Collaborate with production management to plan and schedule maintenance, minimizing downtime
  • Maintain equipment inventory, anticipate needs, and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Provide maintenance support, prepare reports, and ensure communication of ongoing needs among teams
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and diagnose electrical issues
  • Comply with safety regulations, maintain work areas, and assist subcontractors as required
