Wood Manufacturing Engineer

Position Type: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure engineering projects are on time and on/under budget.
• Implement drawing and processing automation.
• Generate material takeoffs and identify long lead time items.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely drawings and production schedules.
• Liaise with installation crews and address field issues.
• Attend meetings with the Project Management and Estimating Departments.
• Suggest value engineering changes that maintain design intent.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in managing architectural millwork and fixture projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2020.
• Knowledge of Microvellum 6.7 & 7.0 and TradeSoft Software (Project Pak & Shop Pak).
• Understanding of CNC and machining processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
• Shop experience and knowledge of AWI Construction Methods (a plus).
• Ability to produce detailed shop drawings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to train individuals with experience in 20/20, Pattern Systems, Cabinet Vision, or similar systems.

Compensation: $30 an hour
