Manufacturing Engineer / Estimator

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer / Estimator to fill a Direct Hire opening in Cincinnati, OH!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to meet customer needs, including estimating time and material costs.
• Provide engineering solutions for cost, process, and delivery schedule optimization.
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and employees.
• Develop process routers and Bills of Materials.
• Confirm customer requirements and expectations.
• Review internal capabilities to meet job specifications.
• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, production bottlenecks, and missing information.
• Obtain accurate and competitive pricing.
• Modify and create engineering drawings for sheet metal cutting, bending, and shaping to produce components and assemblies per customer specifications.
• Evaluate and implement engineering changes suggested by Fabrication Personnel, revising internal documentation and programs after customer approval.
• Review and assess ECRs, engineering memorandums, and customer drawings, recommending alternatives as needed.
• Research and resolve manufacturing and fabrication issues.
• Develop file formats for machines cutting sheet metal and plate using lasers, turret punches, and press brakes.
• Provide technical support to production, including reviewing technical data to quote components and packages, planning job processing, and working with inspection.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the Sheet Metal Fabrication Industry is required.
• Previous experience with SolidWorks is required.
• Previous experience with Estimating/Quoting is required.
• GD&T knowledge.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Process Improvement experience.

Compensation: $65-80K
