Job Summary: Electrical Supply Company in Corona is seeking to add Order Pullers to their team!
Description of Daily Tasks & Duties:
The order Filler/Picker is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the carts in a manner that meets company standards of safety, security, and productivity. The Order Filler is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.
Order Picking:
Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is pulled, packed, check off tickets, labeled, and prepared for shipping. Assemble various types of material for shipment. Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or staging with material handling equipment. Tag, or mark orders as requested.
Repack
Repack and weigh any that require such handling when necessary. Report any quality variances.
Quality:
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
Equipment:
Operate forklift in performance if order filling duties when required. On a daily basis inspect equipment to ensure operating properly.
Safety, Housekeeping, and Security:
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
Education, Experience, and Required Skills, Including Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 – 3yrs prior warehouse experience and picking orders
- The order Filler/Picker must be able to read and count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly. Must be able to operate a forklift and complete the annual forklift training program. The order Filler/Picker must be capable of sitting standing and walking for extended periods of time. The ability to follow directions is extremely important.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when pulling material
- Frequent lifting up to 50lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90lbs
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noise, and dust
Work Hours: Monday – Friday 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM + Schedule to be determined based on business demand (overtime may be required)
