Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Press Helper in our plastics manufacturing facility. The Press Helper will play a vital role in supporting the operation of our presses and ensuring the efficient production of plastic components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and grow in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist press operators in setting up and operating plastic molding presses according to production schedules and specifications.
• Prepare molds and materials for production runs, including loading plastic pellets and setting machine parameters.
• Monitor press operations and perform quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Assist with troubleshooting press issues and making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
• Remove finished products from molds and trim excess material using hand tools or machinery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning molds, equipment, and workstations.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries while operating machinery and handling materials.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.
• Assist with other tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the production facility.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred, with exposure to plastics molding processes a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn to operate machinery and equipment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors and lead operators.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
