We are seeking a motivated and reliable bilingual (English/Spanish) Shop Helper to join our team. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who is willing to take on a range of duties, from preparing materials to assisting machinists and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Load and unload materials, tools, and finished and unfinished parts. Ensure materials, tools, and parts are properly stored and organized.
• Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the setup and maintenance of machines and tools. Perform routine checks and report any malfunctions or issues.
• Assisting Machinists: Support machinists with tasks such as lifting, measuring, inspecting, manufacturing, and assembling parts. Follow instructions and assist with machine adjustments as needed.
• Cleaning and Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Perform routine cleaning tasks and ensure that workspaces, tools, and equipment are in good condition.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and report safety hazards or incidents.
• Documentation: Record and report data, including quantities and any issues encountered during the process.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management to support the overall efficiency of the machine shop.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is a plus but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Skills:

• Bilingual (Spanish and English)
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and machinery.
• Ability to operate Forklifts
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with others.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy materials.

Pay: DOE

Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
