Our manufacturing client in Rockford is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join their team. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between the Sales team and the manufacturing process by organizing customer order information into work orders. You will be responsible for providing customers with accurate completion dates, maintaining communication throughout the manufacturing process, and ensuring the smooth progression of orders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate work orders from customer and sales information to initiate the manufacturing process.
  • Manage and track production timelines, providing updates to customers on lead times and shipment dates.
  • Enter and maintain sales orders, production reports, and inventory records.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and shop personnel to expedite work and meet customer expectations.
  • Handle customer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring a high level of service and support.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Gmail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills and strong communication abilities.
  • Commitment to quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
