Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary:
A growing metal foundry in Grand Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the maintenance team and will maintain production equipment via mechanical and electrical troubleshooting as well as equipment installation and repair. This direct hire position is a great opportunity to join a growing team on first shift with plenty of overtime opportunities.
Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain foundry equipment
- Follow predictive and preventive maintenance plans
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of foundry equipment during operation
- Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems, replace and repairs part, test and adjust as needed
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on foundry equipment and plant facilities
- Update team on the status of requested maintenance support.
- Manage maintenance staff schedules and cover for call ins
Schedule: Monday – Friday on 1st shift, some overtime required
Pay: $25-$35/hr based on experience and qualifications
Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED
- 2 or more years of maintenance lead experience
- Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds on a frequent basis
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, as well as mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Knowledge of stick welding preferred
- Experience with heat treating preferred
- Excellent communicator who is able to accept feedback
