1st Shift Press Operator: $21.63 Per hour | Dekalb, IL | 5:45A -4:15P M-Th | OT on Fridays

 A local Dekalb company is searching for a Press Setup Operator. This dynamic manufacturing environment is growing and is looking to hire a collaborative worker who will help grow the company to a new level of production. Operators work independently and as part of a team, at times with limited supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for the set-up and operation of all press row equipment and safely produce product per instructions and blueprint.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Safely and productively set-up and operate of presses, including loading and changing over of die sets and proper ram height adjustment. Processes any and all transactions in company systems in an accurate and timely manner. Perform first, in-process and final inspection using various measuring instruments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires walking, standing, climbing, crawling, bending
• Requires regular lifting greater than 50 lbs.

What we look for in Press Operators:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment including with diverse high-speed machinery
• Attention to detail, specifically in following production procedures
• Safely and accurately operate equipment as assigned
• Experience using measuring equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints including geometric dimensioning
• Shop math skills
• Ability to use computers to enter data
