Express Employment Professionals – St. Paul, MN is assisting a Non-Profit company to fill a Job Coach position on their team. Position is located in the St Paul area.

 

Pay: $21-23 BOE

 

Schedule:   1^st Shift Monday – Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM 

 

 

 

Essential Functions:

• Consistently model appropriate work skills and hold employees to the same expectations
• Provide support and coaching to employees with disabilities identified by supervisor
• Work closely with supervisor/line lead to evaluate employee’s work performance and provide prompts and feedback when needed
• Provide proper documentation on all employee’s work performance
• Ensure safety is being maintained in the work environment at all times
• Know and adhere to established agency policies and procedures
• Uphold and consistently follow program and licensing regulations and procedures
• Maintain and model positive, professional working relationships with employees with disabilities, other employees and stakeholders
• Provide services for employees with disabilities regardless of location by creating and maintaining an atmosphere that is welcoming, understanding, communicative, and supportive of employees with disabilities
• Willing and able to support other Job Coaches when necessary
• Willing and able to work with employees with disabilities with incontinence and/or personal cares in a respectful and professional manner when necessary
• Through work performance evaluations, demonstrate a solid knowledge of most frequently encountered disabilities of employees and the ability to provide specific, qualify service for them
• Update and upgrade skill levels by attending a minimum of 15 hours mandatory annual training
• Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year experience delivering supported employment services or direct care services either in the classroom, place of employment, day care, medical or residential settings
• Demonstrated insight, interest, warmth, and respect for persons with disabilities
• Ability to cope with emergency situations (i.e. accidents, CPR, seizures, etc.), in a calm and efficient manner
• Able to work well in a noisy environment, and demonstrate high levels of patience and positive attitude towards personas experiencing developmental disabilities
• Able and willing to be a team player and to work cooperatively with their supervisor
• Able to communicate effectively with the employees with disabilities and supervisors that they work with
• Satisfactory completion of a DHS Background Study and a criminal background check.
• Satisfactory completion of a Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Satisfactory completion of a drug screening test.
• Verified eligibility for employment in the United States
• Valid state-issued driver’s license
