The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and communicating information to ensure that services and products are delivered on time and accurately. This candidate should have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and be able to remain calm in all circumstances. They should also be proficient with computers and be able to learn new software quickly. 

Responsibilities and duties:

·         Dispatching: Scheduling and sending drivers, vehicles, or equipment to their destinations 

·         Communicating: Relaying information to and from customers, supervisors, and emergency personnel 

·         Tracking: Maintaining call logs and dispatching software to track information 

·         Routing: Developing delivery routes using mapping software and considering weather and traffic 

·         Documenting: Ensuring that carriers have the necessary documentation to comply with import requirements 

·         Preparing: Preparing daily work such as schedules and bills of lading 

·         Assisting: Assisting with sourcing new carriers and performing other duties as required 

Required skills and experience:

·         Receives first call information and initiates the resources required for dispatch

·         Processes removal paperwork

·         Assists with recording keeping of embalming documentation as required

·         Ensures that vehicles and associates are dispatched in accordance with company standards

·         Demonstrates the ability to work safely and carefully to prevent injury to self or others

·         Provides consistent support by dispatching resources to meet the needs of client families
