Salary: $28-$38 DOE

Vacaville company looking for a Heavy Machine Operator.  As a Heavy Machine Operator, you will operate and maintain heavy equipment for earthwork and construction projects. Your role includes handling excavators, dozers, and compactors, performing maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, electronics, and hydraulics, and utilizing fabrication skills to modify and repair equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy machinery for earthwork, grading, and excavation.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment.
• Use fabrication skills for welding, modifying, and fabricating parts.
• Read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Ensure equipment compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate equipment operations and maintenance with the team.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Follow all safety protocols on-site.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Heavy Machine Operator with a background in heavy equipment mechanics.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, electronics, hydraulics, and equipment systems.
• Proficiency in operating heavy machinery (excavators, dozers, compactors).
• Skilled in welding, fabrication, and equipment modification.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Certifications in heavy equipment operation/maintenance are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in various weather conditions and uneven terrain.
• Capable of lifting heavy parts and materials.
• Comfortable in confined spaces and at heights.

M-F – Schedule varies; OT required
