Are you a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with a passion for accuracy and a solid understanding of union payroll processes? We are seeking a motivated professional to manage payroll operations for our unionized workforce in a hybrid work environment, ensuring compliance with union contracts and efficient payroll processing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end payroll processing for unionized employees, ensuring compliance with union contracts and company policies.
• Accurately interpret collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) to calculate wages, deductions, and benefits.
• Collaborate with HR and union representatives to resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including earnings statements and tax forms.
• Ensure timely submission of payroll taxes, union dues, and other withholdings.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and assist with basic payroll audits.
• Administer 401(k) retirement plans, including contributions and compliance with IRS regulations.

 

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within a unionized environment.
• Understanding of union contracts and collective bargaining agreements.
• Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Effective communication skills to work with employees, HR, and union representatives.
