Jackson company is seeking an Accountant to join their team! This position is full time, Hours Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM. Must have at least three years of strong Accounting experience--more than just posting payments. We are looking for someone who is analytical and is knowledgeable in QuickBooks. 

 

General Duties:

• Coordinate all company accounting activities.

• Prepare and record asset, liability revenue, and expense entries by compiling and

   analyzing account information.

• Maintain general ledger and balance/transfer subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating,

   posting, and reconciling transactions.

• Develop accounting standards and procedures to assure uniform accounting practices,

   internal controls, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Maintain financial security by following internal controls, verifying documentation,

   requesting disbursements, and upholding confidentiality.

• Report on the organization’s finances to management, and offer suggestions about

   resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

• Collect information to summarize the company’s financial status.

• Prepare balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
