EVALUATION HIRE-Full Time

$14/ hr

Day Shift 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (Monday through Thursday) 7:00 am-12:00 pm (Friday)

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for an Oil Change / Tire Technician for a locally owned and operated Automotive Shop in East Baton Rouge.  This position is in Baton Rouge and work everyday will be onsite, must live in Baton Rouge area.  The skills and experience specified below are required for this position.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Oil Change / Tire Technician: 

• Assist in auto repairs such as oil changes, filter changes, tire rotations, and balancing.
• Accessing tread levels and side walls on customer tires.
• Patching tires and repairing small damages.
• Replacing valves and rubber valve stems. 
• Working with customers to understand their needs and identify the right tires for their vehicles. 
• Draining oil from the crankcase, refilling it, and replacing the oil filter. 
• Inspecting and refilling vehicle fluids, such as transmission fluid, brake fluid, and windshield wiper fluid.
• Assisting customers in selecting oil types and other services, and processing payment. 
• Clean and organize the work area during downtime.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience in an auto/body shop is REQUIRED
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and do the work that is handed
• Customer Service
• Reliable and dedicated attitude
