Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Administrative Production for a local Concrete Company in Selma, CA. This role will be responsible for a blend of administrative and production duties, ensuring the smooth operation of production processes and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with plant personnel and other departments.

 

Pay: $25-30 an hour

 

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

Key Responsibilities:

Administration Duties:

  • Perform general office clerical duties including answering phones, filing/scanning paperwork, and providing back-up in Customer Service.
  • Generate purchase orders for all authorized expensed purchases and production-related raw materials.
  • Verify appropriate account codes and pricing, ensuring adherence to location protocol and Company policy.
  • Assist with matching packing slips and invoices to purchase orders, checking quantities of material received, and performing SAP goods-receipt. Identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Produce and audit purchasing reports.
  • Maintain work area and equipment according to Company specifications for cleanliness and safety.

Production Duties:

  • Collect, review, and enter production order data; self-audit work for accuracy and reasonableness, and analyze subsequent accounting results.
  • Calculate statistical performance indicators and publish results to Plant Management.
  • Work closely with plant personnel to resolve reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintain archives of all production reports.
  • Review bills of material, batch yields, and product run rates for consistency; report on trends and suggest corrective revisions.
  • Provide assistance with annual fiscal year standard revision updates.
  • Assist with daily, monthly, and twice-yearly inventory counts, both finished goods and raw materials.
  • Responsible for month-end close reconciliations, including calculating and posting actual activities and closing out completed production orders for subsequent variance calculations.
  • Attend safety meetings and abide by all safety rules set forth by the Company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company or its designated representative.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required, with the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • On-the-job training is required to perform the essential duties listed above.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and stay on task.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in operating personal computer, printer, 10-key adding machine, copier, facsimile machine, and any other equipment required to perform duties.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems (Excel and Word).
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required, with the ability to work overtime as needed.
