Salary: $25.00 - $27.00 AN HOUR (DOE)

Express Employment of Downey is seeking an PROCUREMENT/INVENTORY SPECIALIST for a lighting manufacturer in the city of Vernon, CA.

Schedule: 7AM - 4:30PM (Monday through Friday)

Pay: $25.00 to $27.00 an hour (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

Employment Type: temp to permanent hire

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Allocate inventory to all warehouses
• Send inventory to 3PL warehouses
• Establish backup sources for high-demand items
• Track and analyze inventory maintenance, and develop protocols for loss mitigation
• Conduct daily transfers of inventory
• Work closely with Purchasing team to ensure stock is ordered as needed
• Manage a cycle count team
• Create reports that show available inventory and/or discrepancies with physical inventory count
• Monitor inventory trends and identify financial risks (i.e. aging or slow-moving inventory)

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 3+ years inventory control experience in an admin/clerical capacity 
• Strong data entry background
• Proficient English REQUIRED (bilingual is a PLUS)
• Strong proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel
• Experience with warehouse management solutions
• Strong mathematical skills
• Forecasting abilities
• Proficiency with ERP systems
• Deadline oriented
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
