We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Technician to join our dynamic team in Milan, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining our advanced control systems, ensuring optimal performance of our machinery. Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems to ensure efficient operation.
Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
Work with various machine brands, including Fanuc and Allen Bradley, to maintain and enhance performance.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement system improvements.
To maintain or improve upon all hardware required for control systems located on facility floor.
Understand and support PLC and HMI programs located in equipment on the facility floor.
Understand and support robotic programming located in equipment on the facility floor. (ABB S4, Motoman MRC XRC NX100, Fanuc RJ2 RJ3)
Assist engineers in specifying ancillary robotic welding equipment including weld guns, torches, cabling, dress out, tool changers, tip dressers, and torch cleaners.
Use computer based engineering software and equipment: (PLC and HMI base programs, PC based programs, CAD based programs)
Test suspect control or electrical devices for failures
