Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is hiring Machine Operators for a printing company in Batavia, OH. The Flexographic Finishing Operator is responsible for efficiently and safely operating the slitter machine to cut to size accurate and quality labels. A person in this role with exceptional performance will have the opportunity over time to be promoted to Finishing Lead to assist with planning and managing. An ideal candidate is someone with a solid work ethic, good attendance, mechanical ability, and desire to grow their career. This facility runs a seven day per week operation with a 2-shift production schedule, 12 hour shifts with overtime as required by business needs for the Flexographic Finishing Operator.

Core Functions: 
• Inspect all printed rolls prior to processing, verify all materials are present for the job.
• Review rolls for quality and specifications, remove defective material before running job.
• Lift, attach, and web rolls of labels properly onto machine to prevent wrinkles and errors.
• Adjust machine settings to specification including speed, tension, splices per roll, etc.
• Modify slit position, core sizes, and other components to match specification sheet.
• Monitor smooth operation of slitting machine while accurately filling label quantities.
• Verify finished roll quality (tightness, quantity, neatness) to documented standards.
• Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of work area/production zone.
• Related duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills Required:
• High school education or equivalent.
• Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required.
• Detail oriented to ensure all machine settings and sizes are accurate.
• Strong intuition and problem-solving skills to quickly and effectively navigate issues.
• Capable of working in a team environment and alone with a high sense of urgency.
• Ability to stand and move around work area for long periods of time.
• Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: 1st Shift (6am-6pm) rotation
Pay: $19/hour
