Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

 

Position Summary:
As a General Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing products, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will be key to ensuring smooth warehouse operations.

 

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments
• Organize and store products in designated areas
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular counts and updating records
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed
• Document and report any discrepancies or issues with shipments
• Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse efficiency and processes
• Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in warehouse operations or a related field is preferred
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in warehouse operations and inventory management
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
• Basic math skills for counting and calculations

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position may include lifting and carrying heavy items, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

Internal and External Interaction:
This position interacts with colleagues within the warehouse, immediate managers, and occasionally with delivery drivers or vendors. Clear communication and professionalism are essential in all interactions.
