Naturals Department Stocker/Clerk

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Naturals Department Stocker/Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining an organized and well-stocked natural and organic products section, providing excellent customer service, and assisting customers with product information and recommendations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Stock and replenish shelves in the naturals department with organic, natural, and specialty food products, ensuring proper rotation and attractive displays

- Assist customers in locating and selecting products, providing knowledgeable recommendations and answering inquiries about ingredients, dietary needs, and product usage

- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the naturals department, ensuring aisles, shelves, and displays are neat and tidy

- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the department manager to ensure adequate stock levels

- Receive and properly store incoming shipments of natural and organic products, checking for quality and accuracy

- Ensure proper pricing and labeling of products within the department

- Educate customers on the benefits of natural and organic products, promoting a healthy lifestyle

- Contribute to creating an inviting and welcoming atmosphere within the naturals department

- Assist with other tasks as needed, such as cashiering, bagging, or stocking in other departments

 

Qualifications and Skills:

- Prior experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred

- Knowledge of natural, organic, and specialty food products, including their ingredients and dietary benefits

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and ability to lift and move merchandise

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
