Sewing / Inspection and Support

Located in Tomah, WI

Salary: $13.50/hour

Express Employment has teamed up with a custom sportswear company operating right here in Tomah to help fill long term production roles.  This company specializes in Letter Jackets and custom made patches.

1st shift: First Shift Monday through Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm, overtime possible where you may be asked to start at 6am and work as late as 4:30pm.
 

Starting Wage: $13.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate sewing machines
• Upon receipt of work order and material parts, verify that you have all components necessary to complete the order
• Layout and sew as instructed on order
• Keep tickets on what you produce (sew) and keep track of time worked so incentive rates can be determined
• Meet at least 80% efficiency standard
• Perform simple sewing machine repairs and maintenance (needle replacement, thread changes)
• May be tasked with various inspection, leatherwork, or electronic machine operation.

 Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for duration of shift
• Repetitive reaching motions
• Frequent bending, twisting, turning, and constant use of arms
• Ability to work at a fast pace

Qualifications:

• Good hand/eye coordination and dexterity
• Ability to work independently and act decisively
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instructions
• Understanding of measurements
