Join a family-owned and operated business dedicated to excellence in fabrication, linings, and coatings. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Painter/Sand Blaster to contribute to our operations at our Gilbert location.

Location: Gilbert, AZ
Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Pay: $20/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Painting Industrial Pipes: Apply paint to industrial pipes and various surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean surfaces thoroughly before applying paint, ensuring optimal adhesion and durability.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and operate technical painting equipment, ensuring it remains in excellent working condition.
  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize a wide array of painting tools, including thin and thick brushes, airbrushes, and rollers.
  • Chemical Waste Disposal: Safely dispose of chemical waste in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Safety Standards: Adhere to high safety standards, including the use of special safety equipment such as painting goggles.
  • Painting Techniques: Apply different painting techniques tailored to the nature of the surface being painted.
  • Measurement and Quality Control: Use viscosity cups and thickness gauges to measure paint consistency and thickness, ensuring precision.
  • Surface Preparation: Remove previous paint surfaces using masking or a chemical rinse to prepare surfaces for new coatings.
  • Touch-Ups and Small Items: Perform touch-ups and paint small items as needed.
  • Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation is maintained after paint application to facilitate drying and curing.
  • Electroplating: Utilize electroplating equipment to coat metal surfaces.
  • Polishing: Polish metallic surfaces to achieve a smooth, finished look.
  • Diverse Surface Painting: Paint a variety of surfaces, including wood, plastics, and metals.
  • Technical Machinery Proficiency: Operate and maintain technical machinery related to the painting process.
  • Physical Strength: Possess the physical strength to operate machinery and lift heavy items.
  • Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift as needed; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in painting a variety of surface types and proficiency with technical machinery.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work with minimal supervision, particularly on the 2nd shift.
  • Safety Compliance: Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow them rigorously.
  • Forklift Certification: Forklift experience is required; certification is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be capable of heavy lifting and be equipped with steel-toed boots.
