Local company is Rogers is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Molding Machine Operator to join their manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to start or grow their career in a production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating plastic molding machines, performing insert and secondary operations, and ensuring that all products meet quality standards.

 

Work Schedule:

1st shift : Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4pm

2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 3:45pm-2:15am

3rd Shift: Sunday-Wednesday 8:30pm-7am

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Operate molding machines according to product specifications and work order requirements.
• Post-Molding Operations: Remove parts from the molding machine, trim sprues, gates, flash, and perform other post-molding tasks as needed.
• Tool and Equipment Use: Work with appropriate tools and equipment to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor processes and inspect products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Documentation: Complete production and quality forms to document work performed and product status.
• Team Collaboration: Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results and supporting colleagues as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Attendance: Maintain acceptable levels of attendance and punctuality, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Flexibility: Willingness to accept supervision, follow instructions, and perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Mobility: Adequate mobility for stooping, bending, lifting, and other physical tasks; ability to frequently lift and manipulate products weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Endurance: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; occasionally required to use step ladders or raised platforms.
• Vision: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Safety Gear: Must wear safety glasses with side shields in all production areas and hearing protection in designated areas.
• Work Environment: Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures depending on the season. This position is considered safety-sensitive due to the presence of moving machinery and forklift traffic.

Qualifications:

• Education: Entry-level position; 1 year of production/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Skills: Ability to work with tools and equipment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
