Overview: Local company is Rogers is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Finishing Department Technician. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is looking to grow within our company and contribute to our success. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing parts for painting and other finishing processes, ensuring that products meet quality standards.

Salary: 15.00/hr

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Parts: Perform tasks such as sanding, packing, inspecting, assembly, masking/unmasking, and loading/unloading the line according to work order requirements.
• Tool and Equipment Operation: Use appropriate tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor processes and inspect products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Documentation: Complete production and quality forms accurately to document work performed.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed and supporting team members to achieve manufacturing goals.
• Flexibility: Accept and follow supervision and instructions, and be willing to perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Mobility: Adequate mobility for stooping, bending, lifting, and other physical tasks; ability to frequently manipulate and lift products weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Endurance: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, frequently reach with hands and arms.
• Vision: Close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are required.
• Safety Gear: Must wear safety glasses with side shields in all production areas and hearing protection in designated areas.
• Work Environment: Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures depending on the season. This position is considered safety-sensitive due to the presence of moving machinery, power tools, and forklift traffic.

Qualifications:

• Education: Entry-level position; ability to read and communicate in English is preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of production/manufacturing experience preferred; sanding experience is a plus.
• Work Ethic: Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and a desire to learn and grow within the company.
