Materials Handler

Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour

Location - Northbrook, IL 

Days: Monday - Thursday, 2:30 p.m. - 11 p.m., and Friday - 1:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. 

 Express is looking for a reliable Materials Handler for one of our great Northbrook clients. The role will include maintaining warehouse stock and assisting in fulfilling orders. Team members will be responsible for pulling and delivering all materials necessary to complete orders, verify invoices stocking all received materials on shelves, and prepare inventory records.

Ideal candidates will operate a forklift, be able to use a computer for data entry, and be able to accurately read a tape measure.

 

Materials Handler Highlights:

• Use Forklifts and Pallet Jacks to obtain, move, sort, and package products and materials.
• Support production by pulling and delivering all materials necessary to complete shop orders.
• Verify and stock received components per invoices.
• Prepare inventory records and investigate discrepancies in stock counts.
• Perform weigh counts for materials and store them as necessary.

 

What We Look for in Materials Handlers:

• Read and understand packing lists and shipping instructions.
• Operate packaging equipment such as strapping machines, stretch wrappers, paper bundling machines, and pallet jacks.
• Accurately package outbound products in appropriate boxes and label them correctly.
• Ability to lift loads of 50 lbs several times per shift
