We are recruiting for a General Laborer.  Do you have what it takes to be our newest team member? You should have knowledge of the automotive industry and working with metal.  

 

Key Elements                                                                                                                                                                                                

• Loads/unloads material, parts, or product onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks.                                                                                                                                                                                          
• Ability to perform multiple hand-fed press jobs and measure parts for correctness.   
• Ability to sort parts and identify any flaws.            
• Removes (deburrs) excess metal from machined parts.     
• When assigned, ability to use spot welder and test welded parts.        
• Ability to operate powered ind. trucks.     
• Follows safety rules and keeps work area neat.        
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.     
• Understands responsibilities outlined in applicable procedures, work instructions, and quality policy.

Qualifications:

            To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education and/or Experience:   

            High School Diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Physical Requirements: 

Minimum requirements are lifting 40-50 pounds frequently.  Must be able to stand while performing duties, use hands to finger, handle, and feel, ability to reach with hands and arms, ability to talk and hear.  Ability to occasionally walk and sit. 

Language Skills: 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Safety:

                        Responsible for conducting job assignments in a safe manner.
