The Shipping/Receiving & Online Sales Clerk is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate processing of route transfers, purchase orders, and inventory management. This role also involves handling customer inquiries and online sales transactions with professionalism and a thorough understanding of product features, pricing, and financing options.

Shipping and Receiving:

  • Properly close all route transfers every morning, ensuring each one is signed-off on.
  • Check for any open purchase orders (POs) and/or pending shop supply work orders and prepare them for route drivers.
  • Maintain a well-organized work station and demonstrate the ability to multitask.
  • Answer all phone calls and transfer them to the appropriate department/store/extension.
  • Assist other store associates when they come for tires/supplies, create transfer tickets/work orders, and collect signatures for all items leaving the warehouse.
  • Accurately enter inventory under the correct vendor and price; assist in adjusting retail and wholesale pricing when needed.
  • Read and navigate vendor price files and provide invoice pricing for store associates upon request.
  • End the day by scanning and emailing all transfers to the inventory manager and all supply invoices to the wholesale manager.

Online Sales:

  • Demonstrate product knowledge, including features and benefits of different tire brands, styles, and fitments.
  • Be aware of which brands we have direct accounts with and which distributors act as secondary suppliers, including knowledge of MAP pricing.
  • Understand and communicate all services offered and their starting prices.
  • Gather sufficient information from customers and connect them with the nearest shop mechanic for mechanical issues, without diagnosing issues via chat.
  • Explain the requirements, benefits, and differences of each financing option we offer.
  • Type quick, accurate, and professional responses to customer inquiries despite any office commotion.
  • Create and email quotes to customers, coordinating with the customer’s store of choice.
  • Save all chat interactions for periodic review to ensure exceptional service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management systems and basic office software.
  • Ability to read and understand vendor price files.
  • Basic understanding of retail and wholesale pricing.
  • Customer service experience, particularly in handling inquiries and sales.
  • Knowledge of tire brands, styles, fitments, and MAP pricing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the company's services and financing options.
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) is preferred

Work Environment:

  • Office and warehouse setting.
  • May require lifting and moving tires and supplies.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
