JOB SUMMARY
The Credit Analyst Manager manages the Credit Analyst department and provides support to the lending function of the Bank.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Manages the Credit Analyst department and provides support to the lending function of the Bank
- Assists, coaches, and trains credit analysts and/or loan officers in evaluating the financial history and financial statements of credit applicants with a focus toward assessing creditworthiness
- Analyzes financial strength and adequacy of cash flow and calculates all related ratios in order to identify the probability of full repayment and whether collateral or a guarantor is needed to adequately secure the loan
- Facilitates or assists in the preparation of loan requests by completing credit analysis and credit memorandums of all larger or more complex loan requests for presentation to loan officers or committees
- Completes related special projects as needed
- Provides assistance to lenders with policy and loan questions or concerns
- Manages the hiring, daily activities, coaching, evaluating and counseling of reporting staff
- Participates in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessary
- Maintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy, and ensures adherence by the respective department personnel
- Maintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations, and ensures adherence by the respective department personnel
- Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML, and ensures adherence by the respective department personnel
QUALIFICATIONS:

- BBA in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Eight years of working experience as a Credit Analyst / Credit Risk Analyst or Loan Officer in a financial institution
- Four years of prior management experience
- Knowledge of commercial, trade-finance, asset-based lending, loan documentation, financial statements and cash flow
- Computer literacy in Windows, Microsoft Excel and Word
- Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and acute mental concentration for accurately performing tasks with frequent interruptions
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired
