Express Employment Garland has partnered with a company in Garland, TX to actively recruit Inventory receiving Specialists to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving Goods: Inspect and accept shipments from vendors and suppliers, ensuring all items match the purchase orders and are free from damage.

• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels, recording incoming and outgoing products, and conducting regular inventory audits.

• Data Entry: Enter receiving and inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately, ensuring all information is up-to-date.

• Quality Control: Conduct inspections of incoming products to verify quality and compliance with company specifications, reporting any discrepancies to management. - Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.

• Organization: Ensure that all received items are properly labeled, stored, and organized within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments, including shipping and procurement, to coordinate inventory needs and resolve any issues. Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary materials in a timely manner.

• Cycle Counting: Participate in regular cycle counts and year-end inventories to maintain an accurate assessment of stock levels.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and warehouse policies, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

• Working with PS World and FedEx. Small pack, LTL. Most of the jobs are done by hand since they are lightweight and small. NO RF scanners paper pick list only.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must know how to operate both a sit-down and a stand-up forklift!
• 2+ years of experience in inventory management, receiving, or a similar role in a warehouse environment.
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic math skills for inventory management and counting.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50+ pounds and operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification may be required).
