1st Shift | $26-28/hour, based on experience

Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East (Skilled Trades) is now hiring to fulfill a CNC Programmer/Machinist for a manufacturing firm in Amelia, OH. As a CNC Programmer you will be part of the engineering team. You will use CAM software to generate program code that guides CNC machines such as lasers, punch presses, etc. to perform cutting/stamping operations which result in precise finished components – efficiently and safely.

Core Functions: 
• Work with Sales, Engineering, Order Entry, and/or Management to understand current and future workload to create and edit programs so that parts can be manufactured in the most cost-effective and efficient way.
• Interpret Engineering drawings to determine machine selection to manufacture parts, maintain or purchase required tooling, and organize machine capacity.
• Utilize CAD or CAM software to create/update parts and maintain library of parts for nesting.
• Use CAM software to create nests and program parts based on work orders, drawings/sketches, or written and verbal instructions.
• Maintain nests, programs, and work orders in CAM software before, during, and after manufacturing.
• Work with software manufacturers to update software and troubleshoot issues.
• Utilize ERP system to create and/or modify customer parts (routing, bill of materials, file attachments, etc.) as required.
• Track individual and/or company (KPIs) / metrics. Strive for daily improvements
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience: 
• Three years of relevant CNC programming experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to problem solve and adjust as needed to complete orders / tasks
• Flexible and adaptable to change jobs as needed to keep jobs flowing
• Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems

Shift: 1st Shift, Mon-Thurs, 5:45am-4:30pm
Pay: $26-28/hour, Based on Experience
