Job Summary:

Slidell Accounting Office looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, with experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns for partnerships, S Corporations, and individuals. This role involves tax projections, tax planning, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and sales tax reporting. The Tax Accountant will also need to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a flexible, hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax returns for partnerships, S Corporations, and individual clients.
• Conduct tax projections and tax planning to optimize tax positions.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns in compliance with state and local regulations.
• Manage and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients or internal stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting programs.
• Experience with QuickBooks and general ledger management.
• Skilled in payroll tax return preparation and sales tax return preparation.
• Strong ability in account reconciliations and managing accounts receivable and payable.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
