PAY RANGE: $22.00-$24.00

Key Responsibilities:

• Pulling and identifying metal.
• Operating machinery in the machine shop.
• Processing orders of structural steel and other metals to size for customer orders.
• Loading customer vehicles. 
• Interacting with the Team in the Shop & Office.
• Ensure jobs are processed to timelines.

Skills & Experience:

• At least 1 years'' experience as a machine operator.
• Previous knowledge of Steel, aluminum a plus.
• Previous Sales Experience preferred. 
• Good customer service skills.
• Answering phones, taking orders for walk in customers.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Accurately measuring with 1/16"

Equipment Used:

• Experience with accurately measuring with a tape measure.
• Operating machinery (band saws, shear, ironworker, or drill press).
• Operating a forklift to load heavy items onto trucks.
• Moving material by hand and Overhead Crane as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Safely loading racks with stock up to 50 pounds in weight.
• Requires lifting and pushing 30-50 pounds at a time.
• Reaching, crouching, bending over and other physically strenuous activities as required.
• Working on your feet for an 8-hour shift.

Education:

• HS Diploma or GED

 

Qualities Preferred:

• Excellent communication skills and teamwork experience.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• A fast-paced shop environment.
