Industrial Painter/Sandblaster

Location: Fordyce, AR

Pay Rate: $16/hr

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter/Sandblaster to join our team in Fordyce, AR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing specialized coating projects by operating and maintaining paint spraying equipment. This role involves painting large industrial pieces, with a focus on precision and quality. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in painting railroad cars, is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, prime, and paint railroad cars, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Safely dispose of all hazardous materials according to regulations.
• Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from surfaces using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, and sandblasters.
• Monitor paint operations to identify and correct flaws such as blisters or streaks.
• Verify project specifications and ensure quality standards are met throughout the painting process.
• Complete production, quality, and time forms to document work performed.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment by following all safety procedures and wearing appropriate gear.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Wear a respirator as required by safety protocols.
• Lift up to 70 pounds unassisted and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of shop math.
• Previous experience in industrial painting is preferred.
