Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform tank car repairs.
  • Follow written and verbal directions.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Understand and apply inventory control.
  • Assist in disassembling damaged cars.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FRA, and AAR regulations.
Qualifications:
 
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and blueprints.
  • Basic math skills and practical problem-solving ability.
  • Must pass a fitness-for-duty exam, physical, and drug/alcohol screenings.
Physical Demands:
 
  • Work inside and outside in various weather conditions.
  • Engage in heavy, hands-on mechanical work.
  • Use hand and power tools daily.
  • Climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces.
