Express Employment is seeking a Buyer/ Purchaser experienced within the manufacturing industry.

Salary range is based on experience

Job Description:

· This buyer would be searching, verifying, and purchasing materials for a small fabrication shop located in Cleveland, OH. The buyer is responsible for utilizing drawings, bills of materials, and blueprints to purchase all required materials and services using an integrated manufacturing software system. To do this, the buyer needs to have strong communication skills to maintain solid working relationships with vendors and staff.

Responsibilities:

·         Collect all materials from resources available

·         Enter all pertinent information related to the job into software system

·         Construct and relay all gathered information to production

·         Vett all vendors and services and make appropriate selections

·         Distribute requests for quotes regarding job materials and services

·         Carefully select appropriate vendors follow bid reviews

·         Negotiate fair pricing and terms per project

·         Prepare purchase orders

·         Oversee and coordinate delivery process of services and materials

·         Manage and approve invoices

·         Maintain good working relationships with vendors

·         Assist and resolve any arising issues

·         Meet with vendors to determine capability or perform audits

·         Maintain accurate material inventory

·         Maintain all necessary drawings

 

Required Skills:

·         Buyer must be well versed in metal fabrication processes and techniques as well as related processes.

·         Buyer must be PC literate and able to use ERP system.

·         Must be familiar with CAD

·         Must be familiar with ISO 9001:18

·         Must be familiar with ASM, AWS, and ASME
